Weddings & Events

Say it by the green. Celebrate at the long table.

An intimate Summerville estate for weddings, receptions, honeymoons, and retreats — with three suites so your people stay where the party is.

Weddings & receptions

A wedding venue that is also where everyone sleeps.

The Wilkshire House hosts intimate weddings — ceremony on the main home's deck beside the putting green, reception at the long table in the dining room, and the entire party housed on site across three suites.

No shuttle schedule. No hotel block. The bride gets ready in The Magnolia upstairs, the groom's party in one ground-floor apartment, and the parents take the other. When the last toast ends, everyone walks to their own front door.

  • Whole-house exclusivity for your weekend — no other guests on property
  • Ceremony and cocktail space on the deck, beside the putting green
  • Sleeps roughly 14 across six bedrooms and three suites (6 bed / 4.5 bath)
  • Bring your own planner, florist, and caterer — or we'll recommend Augusta's best
  • Private chef included for the rehearsal dinner, welcome reception, or next-morning brunch
  • Daily housekeeping included from arrival to farewell

How a wedding weekend runs

Friday to Sunday, all at one address.

  1. Friday — arrival & rehearsal

Keys to all three suites. Rehearsal on the green, dinner at the long table or catered on the porch. Private chef optional.

  2. Saturday — get ready, then marry

Hair and makeup in The Magnolia upstairs, the groom's party in The Azalea, photos under the trees. Ceremony on the deck at golden hour.

  3. Saturday night — reception

The long table in the dining room, the deck for the overflow, and a house that keeps going long after the vendors leave.

  4. Sunday — brunch, then quiet

Coffee in the sunroom, a farewell brunch, late checkout arranged where the calendar allows.

Private chef service is included with every wedding booking — rehearsal dinners, welcome receptions, and Sunday brunch are all part of the package.

The grand arrival

The Escalade signals arrival.

For the bridal party, the groom, or your VIP guests — a white Cadillac Escalade on property for the day of your event. Full-size luxury, seating up to seven in premium leather, and the photograph everyone takes before the ceremony.

  • Reserved for event bookings — weddings, receptions, and special occasions
  • Bridal party transport, the groom's arrival, and VIP guest pickups
  • Airport transfers for out-of-town family on the day
  • Service arrangements and terms confirmed with your booking

And for the rest of the week: the white Lexus RX 350 stays on property for the errands — florist runs, the rehearsal, the airport, the late-night grocery trip.

Included with every event booking

A chef in the kitchen. Daily housekeeping throughout.

Every wedding, honeymoon, and retreat booking includes the Wilkshire Concierge — a private chef in your own kitchen and daily housekeeping through the celebration, so the estate feels immaculate from arrival to farewell. Not add-ons. Included.

Service one

Private chef

Custom menu planning and farm-to-table Southern cuisine prepared and served in your own kitchen: multi-course dinners, breakfast service across a multi-day stay, and cocktail hors d'oeuvres. Built for rehearsal dinners, Masters hospitality, and corporate entertaining.

Service two

Housekeeping & butler service

Daily housekeeping and turndown through the stay, plus event-day support — guest greeting, linen management, and restocking — for wedding weekends, Masters Week bookings, and corporate retreats.

Private chef and daily housekeeping are included with every wedding, honeymoon, and retreat booking. Menu, courses, and staff schedule are confirmed in advance. The two service photographs above are illustrative; all property photography on this site is of 2417 Wilkshire Drive.

“Champagne is chilling. Nothing else is on the schedule.”

Honeymoons & romantic getaways

One suite. One door. Nobody else's schedule.

For two guests, a single suite is the entire point: your own entrance, your own kitchen, a porch for morning coffee, and a neighborhood made for walking off dinner under live oaks.

  • The Magnolia (2 bed / 2.5 bath, main home) is the flagship and our most requested romantic stay — master suite, a separate soaking tub and walk-in shower, breakfast-sunroom, and three decks
  • The Azalea (2 bed / 1 bath) suits a quieter downstairs getaway, with its own private patio
  • The Dogwood (2 bed / 1 bath) is the comfy, cozy option — smaller kitchen, shower-only bath, gentler rate
  • Champagne, flowers, or a private chef's dinner arranged before arrival
  • Walkable to Summerville cafés; five minutes to downtown Augusta
  • Anniversary and elopement stays welcome year-round

The bridal & honeymoon suite

The master suite, and the bath that sells it.

Bridal parties get ready in the Magnolia master suite, with its private soaking tub and walk-in shower — two people can be on schedule at the same time, which is the entire point on a wedding morning.

Church retreats & small groups

A long table, a full kitchen, and rooms to scatter to.

Retreats need two things a hotel can't give you: one room big enough for everyone, and enough private rooms that nobody feels crowded. The whole house gives you both, for roughly fourteen guests.

  • Whole-house rental — exclusive use of all three units: Magnolia (2/2.5), Azalea (2/1), and Dogwood (2/1)
  • Long dining table for study sessions, meals, and planning
  • Three kitchens: cook as one group or in shifts
  • Sunroom and deck for quiet early mornings
  • Popular for church retreats, ministry teams, board and family gatherings

In their words

Guests of every kind

Sample testimonials — replace with real quotes.

“We put my bridesmaids in one suite, his family in another, and my parents took the third. Everyone was under one roof and nobody was in anyone's way. We said our vows on the putting green at 6:40.”
Sample — Bride, October wedding
“Thirteen weeks at University Hospital and I never once felt like I was living out of a suitcase. Private entrance, real kitchen, quiet street. I extended twice.”
Sample — Travel nurse, ICU contract
“We hosted four clients for tournament week. Chef in the kitchen, the Lexus at the door, and a putting green to settle arguments. Far better than four hotel rooms across town.”
Sample — Corporate host, Masters Week
