A day in the Masters house
Thursday, from first light to last cigar.
This is what the week actually looks like from inside the house. No shuttles, no lobby, no waiting on a table.
6:00 — First light on the deck
Coffee is on before anybody asks. The practice green is still wet and the neighborhood is silent.
7:00 — Chef breakfast
Eggs, grits, country ham, fruit, and a second pot of coffee at the long table. Sunroom if the morning is bright.
8:30 — Escalade to the gate
Your driver has the route and the drop point. Fourteen of you leave together and nobody parks.
4:00 — Back on the deck
Bourbon, ice, and the short-game area. The house has been turned down and cleaned while you were out.
7:00 — Chef dinner
Low-country or steak, plated in your own kitchen and served at the long table under the lantern chandelier.
9:00 — Cigars by the fire pit
String lights on, fire lit, and the round replayed hole by hole. Nobody is driving anywhere.
